Julian Fenn – Helping you see all America has to offer, one camping trip at a time
Back in 2005, Julian Fenn, then a Principal Consultant at PA, and Hsiu Mei Wong, currently a Managing Consultant at PA,were busy planning an RV (recreational vehicle) road trip. Their goal: see as much of the continental US as possible in five and a half months. Their problem: finding useful information – where to stay, how much it costs, what to do while visiting – was like looking for a needle in a haystack. According to Julian, “It was time consuming and the information available never really told you what you were in for.”
Their solution: create a website that lists America’s campgrounds and RV parks by state and details the myriad attractions available to visitors. In 2007, Julian did just that, leaving PA to start CampingRoadtrip.com. Users submit photos, videos, and reviews after their stays, in turn helping other users plan better trips and helping campground and RV park operators learn what is most important to their guests.
